In 2020, «smart» bus stops that automatically can call for a bus, start working in the pilot mode in Russia.
The idea of the innovative infrastructure is that if a certain number of passengers gather at the bus stop, the system will take the bus to the route.
The principle of innovative service is as follows: you need to click on the special bus call button installed at the bus stop, and then the system checks the number of passengers using a video detector. If there are more than five passengers, the system automatically takes the bus to the route.
For pensioners and other people entitled to exemptions, the social taxi button will be installed at «smart» stops. If a person in a hurry, the taxi can be called directly to a stop.
It is also possible to call a bus in advance, if the trip is to be made by a group of people.
First, the experiment will be launched in Samara, Volgograd and Kursk regions, after that in Moscow, Tambov and Tomsk regions.
