A presentation of a new national audio guide “Tomsk City Legends” took place on June 28. It includes Tomsk residents’ favorite places surrounded by myths and mysteries.
At the end of June, MTS company (Russian: МТС) with the participation of the Museum of History of Tomsk introduced a mobile guide to the Tomsk historical places as part of the All-Russian project “City Legends”.
The itinerary includes 12 sights and stories related to them which were shared by active residents. All places of a new itinerary were selected by the local historians. The experts chose the most attractive places of the itinerary from the suggestions of Tomsk residents. The information received from the residents of the city was supplemented by employees of the Museum of History of Tomsk, journalist and local historian Viktor Nilov, Tomsk sculptor and local historian Oleg Kislitsky.
A two-hour mobile tour starts from the Spasskaya Tower on Voskresenskaya Hill and ends at Kuznetsova Street, where Lidia Delektorskaya, Musa of the artist Henri Matisse, lived.
According to Marina Feschenko, director of the Tomsk branch office of MTS, this excursion allows to see Tomsk as its residents see it.
